A City in the Sky
|STARTING POINT:||"There's no more room," the public sighed. "We'll have to build up!" the authorities cried. "Up, up and away to the clouds, to the stars, before we know it we'll be half way to Mars!" In a world where every inch of land has been used and the only option is to keep building up how would we, as architects of the future, see a city in the sky? Balanced on a balloon, constructed in the clouds or swinging from the stars? And if you get so very far away... what will happen to the earth below?|
