TRAVEL & VISAS:

Arrivals: Schools should aim to fly into Beijing Capital International Airport. Please try to notify us of the terminal that you will be arriving at. The cheapest time to arrive is before 2pm on Thursday March 8th in terms of transport costs. If that is not possible, please try to arrive before 4pm on Thursday March 8th to ease transport for hosts. On arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative of Dulwich College Beijing and will be taken to a school bus for transport to the school (a journey of about 10-20 minutes).

Departures: Please also try to book return flights after about 10pm on Sunday 10th March so we have time to get schools to the airport after the performance or after 11am on Monday 12th March so that hosts can return visiting students to school at the normal time for the start of school and again get the students to the airport on time. You will be taken to the airport from the school by bus in good time for your departure.

Please note it is the responsibility of each event participant, including ISTA staff, to ensure they have arranged their own visas, as required. This is best done by contacting the relevant embassy, high commission or consulate in your country of origin to establish visa requirements and in particular visa procedures. Always allow yourself plenty of time to organize visas when required.

The journey from the airport is approximately 10-20 minutes.

For ISTA staff:

Please don't start looking into flights until you have received your 'activation' email from Jo. This will be approximately twelve weeks prior to the event.

For visiting teachers:

All schools are required to attend the whole of the event. Please bear this in mind when making your travel arrangements.
