Global Patrons

ISTA's Global Patrons are schools, organisations, families and individuals who are able to provide additional financial support to ISTA over and above, or independently of, regular membership fees.

Global Patrons (GP's) support ISTA in a number of ways. 50% of money received from GP's goes directly into our Development Budget. This money is then ploughed into projects such as:
Staff training and development opportunities
Research into best practice
Initiatives (such as new types of Festivals)
All of the above are crucial in enabling us to continue to provide best practice for students and teachers and operate as a forward-looking organization.

The remaining 50% of funds received go directly into our Founders Scholarship Fund. This fund provides financial support to students from ISTA Member Schools to attend Festivals and TAPS. We have a Scholarship Working Group (comprised of members from our Board of Trustees) who ensure that the money is distributed fairly, and allocated to students who are in genuine need.

For £400.00 per year we will honour your patronage by listing you in:

  • Our quarterly journal 'Scene' (distribution 350 per quarter)
  • Our website
  • All our event programmes (we run on average 22 events per year)

In 2006-2007 we worked with 1522 students, 304 teachers and 229 schools. This was an increase of 16%, 26% and 24% respectively from 2005-2006.

In addition we will:

  • Provide you and your students with a 15% discount on Festival and TAPS Registration Fees.
  • Offer a 15% discount on all publications ordered.
  • Offer a 15% discount on all consultancies booked.

"Most importantly I've come away inspired by theatre, art, dance - and the general concept that different styles, cultures, people are inexorably connected - and the purpose of building those bridges."
